Designed by Michael Adams and Peter Sarrett, If Wishes Were Fishes is an excellent mid-weight strategy game, very good for family play. Published by Rio Grande Games, for 2 to 5 players, ages 10 and up. If Wishes Were Fishes challenges players to buy and sell fish at the best times, sometimes using a fish's wish (special power) and setting that fish free instead. It comes with plenty of wooden fishes and 30 purple rubber worms.
At the World Boardgaming Championships, Rio Grande Games has an area known as Cafe Jay (named after company head Jay Tummelson) to showcase new games like If Wishes Were Fishes.
