1960: The Making of the President at WBC 2007

Game designer Christian Leonhard (right) teaches Joe Casadonte how to play 1960: The Making of a President. This two-player game, published by Z-Man Games, is based on the 1960 U.S. presidential election between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon.

I was able to play 1960: The Making of the President at the 2007 World Boardgaming Championships, and I was very impressed (despite the fact that Mr. Casadonte defeated me). The game is enjoyably tense, with tough decisions being made constantly. The amount of work that went into researching and writing the event cards, which are the central part of the game, is evident.
