Designed by Karen and Andreas Seyfarth; published by Rio Grande Games; 2 to 4 players; ages 10 and up; $30 (approximate).

Thurn and Taxis finds players trying to develop postal networks across Germany. By collecting cards and playing them wisely to build your network, you try to score the most points. There are several strategies to pursue, once you've learned the rules everything flows naturally, and the game is both challenging and entertaining.

Thurn and Taxis won the 2006 Spiel des Jahres award, given to the best family game of the year published in Germany. The Spiel des Jahres is probably the most prestigious award a game can win.
