Top 5 Game Show Games

By Erik Arneson, About.com

If you're a game show junkie, you already know the rules to these games. Here are my picks for the best game show board games.

1. Password

Password is easily my favorite game show game. It holds up well through all the years, and there are few partnership games that draw more laughs. Best with four players.

2. Pyramid

Another classic, Pyramid (formerly known as the $25,000 Pyramid) is similar in ways to Password, but it's different enough to warrant its own spot here. Who gets to be Dick Clark? Or Donnie Osmond? Works with three or more players.

3. Concentration

Concentration is two games in one. First, players take turns flipping over numbered cards to find the matches. Once the puzzle behind those pictures starts to be revealed, they can take a guess at what it is. For two or more players.

4. What's My Line?

What's My Line is now more than 50 years old, and it's just as fun as it ever was. Players ask yes or no questions to uncover the identity of the secret guest; the game comes with actual photos and a fake TV screen to put them in. For two or more players.

5. Card Sharks

I can hear the cheesy music right now... which must mean it's time to play Card Sharks. Answer census-type questions to see who gets control of the board, and then find out if you have the guts to keep going when you're faced with an eight! For two or more players.
