Gameplay in Brief:

No one knows who's who in this award-winning, spy-themed board game. You move your spy around the board, but you can also move everyone else. Try to get yours in position to win points -- but don't be too obvious. Strategy and bluffing collide head on in Top Secret Spies.

Basics:

For 2 to 7 players, ages 8 and up. About 30 minutes per game.

Designer:

Top Secret Spies was designed by Wolfgang Kramer.

Publisher:

Rio Grande Games. Previous editions of this game were known as Undercover and Heimlich & Co., and were published by Ravensburger, Amigo Spiele, 999 Games, and other companies.

Genre:

Top Secret Spies is a deduction game with a spy theme.

Also by Wolfgang Kramer:

Kramer has designed or co-designed nearly 150 published games, including Torres (co-designed with Michael Kiesling), Tikal (also co-designed with Kiesling), Princes of Florence, El Grande, Daytona 500, and Midnight Party.

Awards:

When it was published as Heimlich & Co., Top Secret Spies won the 1986 Spiel des Jahres (Germany's award for Family Game of the Year). It is also on my list of the best spy games.
