Scene It? Harry Potter Edition

Screenlife
Scene It?, the original DVD-based board game and a game I named one of the 50 most historically and culturally significant games published since 1800, has released several new editions in time for the 2005 holiday season.

Scene It? games now available include editions based on Harry Potter, James Bond, Turner Classic Movies, HBO television series, sports, music and television.

Using Screenlife's proprietary Optreve technology, Scene It? games shuffle through hundreds of video clips, images and challenges at random, and the Flextime game board allows for short or extended gameplay.

Each new Scene It? game features more than 700 on-screen challenges and 480 card-based questions. All of the new editions have a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Scene It? Harry Potter

This edition includes images and clips from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) and select content from the latest film in the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005).

Scene It? Sports Powered by ESPN

Sports highlights are included from baseball, football, basketball, hockey, soccer, golf, tennis and more. Hosted by ESPN's Dan Patrick, Scene It? Sports features moments such as Kirk Gibson's home run in the 1988 World Series and Doug Flutie's classic "Hail Mary" pass in the Boston College vs. Miami football game.

Scene It? TV

The content in this edition spans more than 50 years of TV and covers everything from Saturday morning cartoons to prime-time hits, soap operas to talk shows. Nostalgic favorites like "Leave it to Beaver," "The Brady Bunch" and "Charlie's Angels" are on the DVD, along with and current hits like "Malcolm in the Middle," "The Family Guy" and "24."

Scene It? Music

Hundreds of artists from the '60s to today are featured in this game. Players may be asked to decipher Rolling Stone covers, identify classic album covers, or answer trivia and observational questions following real clips from favorite performers.

Scene It? Game Packs

Scene It? Game Packs come in smaller packages, but they still have 700 on-screen challenges and 288 card-based questions. Any Scene It? game pack can be played with any Scene It? game board or as a stand-alone game. The game packs sell for about $19.99.

Scene It? HBO Game Pack

HBO aficionados are tested on knowledge of their HBO favorites, such as "Sex and the City," "Deadwood," "The Sopranos," "Six Feet Under," and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." This game pack is recommended for ages 18 and up.

Scene It? Turner Classic Movies Game Pack

Remember the golden era of the silver screen with this game pack, which draws from films like "Gone With the Wind," "King Kong," "Casablanca" and "The Wizard of Oz."

Scene It? James Bond Game Pack

From Connery to Brosnan, this Game Pack is full of memorable James Bond moments.

Other Scene It? games are still available, including the original Scene It?, Scene It? Disney and Scene It? Jr., as well as the Scene It? Movie Game Pack.
