FIKI (Flick It & Kick It) Sports, manufacturer of FIKI Football, a pro style version of tabletop (or paper) football, is building on its recent success in the Football and Basketball arenas by releasing FIKI Baseball. Slated for preview at Toy Fair 2006, FIKI Baseball will hit home runs with (1) retailers, who pick up another sales point for their stores; and (2) consumers, who can add even more FIKIs to their collections.
Since 2001, FIKI Sports has sold more than 1,000,000 FIKI Footballs. The recently launched basketball is scoring sweet success and expectations are the baseball will also be a winner. FIKI Soccer will be released later in 2006.
"We look forward to charge our way into 2006 with the release of our newest FIKI Sports game," says Founder and CEO Richard Crasnick. "The success of FIKI Football, our flagship product, has made FIKI a household name, and opened the door for us to design more 'Flick It & Kick It' sports games, reaching a wider market."
With FIKI Football, sheets of paper are replaced with a genuine leather triangular "football," featuring a pro-style pebble surface, laces, coil stitching and not to mention, a goalpost -- the perfect substitute for one's fingers.
FIKI Baseball includes a leather game ball and replica outfield fence. The game is played somewhat like FIKI Football - slide the baseball along the tabletop, if it hangs off the edge without falling off, it is a grand slam (four runs). If it falls off the table, your opponent attempts to flick the ball over the fence for a solo-home run (one run).
FIKI is currently in discussions with Major League Baseball to license FIKI Baseball, similar to the more than 70 collegiate licenses for FIKI Football and Basketball.
