Every tournament game at the World Boardgaming Championships has boards like these. The box cover for each game is pictured in a large format, with an information sheet below it. The sheet includes such information as the name of the tournament's GM, times the tournament will be played, and a list of previous winners.

The games played at the 2006 World Boardgaming Championships span decades. Pictured here are tournament boards for Merchant of Venus (1988), Lost Cities (1999), Monsters Ravage America (1998), Louis XIV (2005), Kremlin (1988), Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage (1996), Mystery of the Abbey (2003), The Haunting House (2004) and others. It's obvious that a lot of work goes into preparing all of the tournament boards, which also help players find the right tables when several tournaments are taking place at the same time.

Older games like Diplomacy (1959) and Acquire (1962) were also played at the 2006 WBC.

The tournaments are all run by volunteer GMs, who do a great job of organizing events and making sure everything is handled fairly.
