Among the games on display at the Mayfair Games booth in the vendor room at the 2006 World Boardgaming Championships were Bison, Hey! That's My Fish!, and a wide variety of Settlers of Catan games.
Bison is a new game from designers Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Keisling. That team has won two Spiel des Jahres awards (for Torres and Tikal), and they've developed another outstanding game with Bison. Players can take a limited number of actions each turn as the spread their hunters over territory that includes plains, mountains and rivers. The goal is to score points by controlling the areas with the most bison, turkeys or fish.
