Designed by Rob Heinsoo, published by Wizards of the Coast. For ages 12 and up. $14.99 suggested retail price.

Heinsoo, a senior game designer at Wizards, also designed the card game Three-Dragon Ante, co-wrote the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, and worked on several sets for the Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures Game. So he knows the D&D universe very well.

Inn-Fighting: the D&D Dice Game is scheduled to be available in October 2007. It's described by the company as "a fast-playing, casual experience for the gamer and non-gamer alike. Inn-Fighting lets the player, with a roll of the dice, determine whether to hurl a mug of ale at the warbling bard or smash a chair over the drunken barbarian's back."

The game box includes a set of six special 6-sided dice, one 20-sided die, 52 character cards, and rules. Players choose a character, trade some dice rolls, "and see who's left standing in the end," according to information from Wizards of the Coast.
