As part of its celebration of the fifth anniversary of HeroClix, WizKids announced the "Starro Attacks" world event. In September and October 2007, Starro Attacks is one of the largest events ever offered for the DC HeroClix line.
In an effort to conquer Earth, Starro the Star Conqueror released psychic clones that attach themselves to their victims' faces, such as Aquaman in this photo. Starro Attacks will take place at select retail locations worldwide. During weeks one though four, each weekly tournament is held using game pieces from the DC HeroClix: Justice League set, scheduled to be available at the end of September 2007. Participants will receive an all-new, exclusive Slave of Starro figure. In the final week, players compete to win the colossal DC HeroClix Starro figure.
In addition to Aquaman, other figures in the series include The Flash, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern.
