Succession, published by Your Move Games, has a great premise: the king is aging and must name his successor. He has chosen five candidates, and you're not one of them. So your goal is to support the candidate who does become king. Players try to take credit for good things they didn't do and avoid blame for bad things they did, negotiating and plotting all along the way.
