You've Been Sentenced is a clever word game in which players use the cards they're dealt (each of which features five words) to form sentences. For example, the cards doctors, Ronald Reagan, experiments, lumpy, smart and worms might be used to say: "The otherwise smart doctors used lumpy worms in a series of experiments which they believed could resurrect Ronald Reagan." (Players are dealt 10 cards and use as many as possible in each sentence.)
The game's web site includes a number of rules variants, providing new ways to play such as "YBS 7-Card Stud." In addition, several 80-card expansions are now available: Pop Culture, Sports, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Gourmet Cooking, and the Readers Digest Word Power Challenge.
You've Been Sentenced is for 3 to 10 players, ages 8 and up. About 30 to 40 minutes per game. The suggested retail price is $24.95.
