Crokinole, a game which dates back to at least 1876, can be played with either two players or four players, in two teams. The goal is flick your wooden disks across the wooden board, getting as close to the center as possible -- hopefully into the sunken hole in the very middle of the board -- while preventing your opponent(s) from doing the same.
Carl and Stan Hilinski make gorgeous custom Crokinole boards. The brothers, who live in Maryland, take special orders and have been making the boards for several years. This photo gallery shows off some of their best work.
A good Crokinole board can cost $150 or more. But with Crokinole boards, you get what you pay for. I bought a $20 board from a major online retailer a couple of years ago just to see what the quality was like. It was literally unplayable. So if you enjoy Crokinole, it's worth the money to invest in a high quality board.
