Checkers, also known as Draughts, has been played for hundreds of years. Some trace its roots back to a game uncovered in an archeological dig in Iraq which was dated to around 3000 BC.

Rules of Checkers

Here are the standard U.S. rules for Checkers, which are also the rules of English Draughts. Checkers is for two players, and can be played by children as young as six years old.

Play Checkers Online

There are dozens, perhaps hundreds, of places to play Checkers online, both against human opponents and against artificial intelligence opponents. These are my favorite places to play the board game Checkers online.
