Question: How do you score a play covering two Triple Word Score squares?
Scrabble is the most popular word game ever published. This is part of our Scrabble FAQ.
Answer:

A single play in Scrabble that covers two Triple Word Score squares is known as a "triple-triple" and, of course, it can lead to a very high score.

To calculate the score for a triple-triple, first add the values of the individual tiles in the word (making sure to count a Double Letter Score bonus if applicable), then multiply by nine. If the player making the play used all seven tiles on his rack, add another 50 ponts.
