Erik Arneson

Erik Arneson has been writing about board and card games since 1999, for About.com and other publications.

Erik is a former newspaper reporter who has written about games for numerous publications, including Knucklebones and Counter. He is the former vice-president and president of an international board game organization, the Strategy Gaming Society. Erik has been a featured speaker on the topic of board game publicity at the American International Toy Fair in New York City. He has also been quoted as a board games expert in print and web publications, as well as on radio talk shows.

I grew up playing American classics like Clue, Monopoly, and Diplomacy. Today, I enjoy a diverse range of games including strategy games like Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, HeroScape and Ra, party games like Time's Up and Electronic Catchphrase, and classics like Risk and the card game Euchre. This site explores a wide variety of board games and card games.
