Jenga Truth or Dare
Hasbro
2 or more players
Ages 12 and up
The basic gameplay is the same -- players remove a block from the wooden tower and attempt to place it on top without knocking the whole thing over. But now one-third of the blocks have "truths" and one-third have dares (the rest are blank). If they pull a color block, players must answer a truth (e.g. What was your most embarrassing moment ever?) or complete a dare (e.g. Impersonate someone in the room.) before stacking it on top.
Monopoly .com Edition
Hasbro
2 to 8 players
Ages 8 and up
Full disclosure: About is one of the .com companies featured on the board. About the game: It plays the same as classic Monopoly, although some new optional rules are included in the book. Also, the dollar values are now counted in hundreds of millions, railroads have been replaced by "connectivity providers," Chance and Community Chest are now E-Mail Just In and Download, and the player tokens are all Internet-related. If you're in need of a new Monopoly set, the basic game is less expensive but this one has some interesting bells and whistles.
Pictionary 15th Anniversary Edition
Hasbro
3 or more players
Ages 12 and up
If you enjoy Pictionary, this 15th Anniversary Edition is worth considering. You can play by the original rules or use the new challenge die to spice it up a bit. Among the things the challenge die can do is require you to draw using only one line (lift the pencil and you must stop drawing immediately). See the game file for more information.
Taboo 10th Anniversary Edition
Hasbro
4 or more players
Ages 12 and up
This version of Taboo -- in which players try to get their team to guess words without saying the other five words listed on the card -- features new words, but no new rules. If you've never played, or if your original game is worn out, it may be worth buying the new one.
