"Refreshed" Acquire

For the update to Acquire, a game based on hotel investment and development, Avalon Hill will include 3-D blocks in place of flatter playing pieces. "The blocks which cover up the squares look like Lego bricks," Foster said. "You cap them with your colored pieces and they look like the tops of skyscrapers.

The result, he added, is a game that "feels different" and has a much more dimensional look to it. The new Acquire also will be played on a plastic grid rather than a plain game board.

Acquire is for 2-6 players.
