You must own Monster Island: The Game of Giant Monster Combat to use Escape from Monster Island.

Escape from Monster Island, designed by David L. Pulver and Patrick Sweeney, adds expansion rules for fighting armies and smashing cities. Players can use their own toy soldiers or military miniatures, or the cardstock counter sheet included in the book. The 32-page Escape from Monster Island book has a suggested retail price of $9.95.

According to Firefly Games, the book also includes new monster powers, four new scenarios, "plus scores of brand-new quotes from your favorite kaiju flicks."
