Fantasy Flight Games, the U.S. publishers of Citadels and Lord of the Rings - The Confrontation, has announced plans to publish several new games in Fall 2002.

Cave Trolls

According to the Fantasy Flight Games Web site, in Cave Trolls, designed by Tom Jolly, each player controls a party of explorers raiding the cave troll's lair. Using knights, dwarves, thieves, and other adventurers, players search the lair for gold and magical artifacts. The players must be careful, however, because they aren't only competing against each other, but against savage orcs, terrifying wraiths, and the fearsome cave troll itself.

Cave Troll is a fast-paced dungeon-crawling board game of strategy, looting, and monster-bashing from the creator of Drakon. Cave Troll is playable in 20 to 60 minutes for two to four players, ages 10 and up. Cave Troll is expected to be available in October 2002 and sell for about $19.95.

Scarab Lords

Fantasy Flight describes Scarab Lords, designed by Reiner Knizia, as a "premium card game." Set in a fantasy Egypt, this game depicts the battle of dominance between two mythical Scarab Lords. To win, power must be gained in the areas of religion, military, and economics. Powerful sorcerors, mythical beasts, epic monuments, and grand armies all play key roles.

The non-collectible card game features two 40-card decks which players must customize to best fit their strategies. Scarab Lords is expected to be available in October 2002 and sell for about $19.95.

Other games coming from Fantasy Flight include the Lord of the Rings - Sauron Expansion, the board game King's Gate, and a reprint of Bruno Faidutti's Citadels.
