Citadels was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres, Germany's Game of the Year, in 2000. Players compete to be the first to build a grand city, secretly taking on the roles of king, magician, assassin, thief, architect, and others.
The English version comes with 10 new cards designed by Faidutti, adding new locations and characters to the game.
According to publisher Fantasy Flight Games, Citadels was shipped on April 4, 2002, and it should retail for about $20.
