The first thing that needs to be said about Wheel of Intoxication is that, despite the name, you do not need to consume alcohol to play it.

That said, this game is definitely designed for adults -- preferrably adults with a wild sense of humor.

Published by Boingo Games, Wheel of Intoxication has no real set end point, other than cycling through the rule cards one time. The ostensible goal is to wind up as the "Master" and not the "A**hole." The real goal is to have a good time.

On a turn, each player spins the spinner and follws the instructions. When one of the four "Rule" spaces comes up, a rule card is drawn and the instructions are followed. Rule cards range from "No Proper Names" to "All Men Must..." Up to four rules can be in effect at any one time, and anyone who violates an active rule takes a drink.

The stunt cards, mixed in with the rules cards, require players to do things such as take turns saying "fuzzy duck" until someone messes up and says "does he..."

It's a lot of juvenile humor, and I freely admit a strong aversion to the drinking theme. (If you have concerns about alcohol use and abuse, visit my colleague Buddy T's great About Alcoholism site.) But playing with the right group of people and drinking Jolt (or some other highly-caffeinated drink) in place of alcohol, Wheel of Intoxication could provide a good number of laughs.
