| Die Handler von Genoa - The Traders of Genoa | |

Likely to be known as The Traders of Genoa in English, the goal of the game is to make more money than anyone else. On each turn, the active player has five tokens to place on the board (the board is made up of buildings, each with its own action and some alleys between them).
The active player rolls two dice to choose the starting location for the tokens and places the stack there. During the turn, each player may have one action. If the starting location is a building, the active player may do the building's action or offer it to the other players for a fee (everything in this game is negotiable and may be traded for).
If the active player doesn't want the building's action, he must offer it. If another player offers as little as 5, the active player must "sell" that player the action, try to negotiate a higher fee, or do it himself (as his one action this turn).
A player cannot refuse to offer an building action he does not take. He then moves thee stack of tokes (minus one for the space he started) to any orthogonally adjacent building or alley (of course, wise players will encourage their opponents to suggest -- with fees, of course -- which way to go; these deals, once paid for, must be honored).
As mentioned, it is a game of money: the more you make from the other players, the more likely you are to win. The buildings include: (1) a warehouse with goods, needed to fulfill contracts (which are worth money), (2) places to get new contracts, and (3) places to get special abilities (e.g. an extra action, start where you want, messages [you get money if the active player moves through the places on the message], and privilages [you get money if you have adjacent privilage buildings at the end off the game], chances to own building [and collect money for rent when the building's action is used]).
The game lasts 90-120 minutes and should be available in May or June.
