According to Rio Grande, the players are knights competing to build castles. There are three ways to win the game -- (1) build four castles with different banners; (2) build three different castles and topple the king; or (3) build two different castles and win three tournaments.
Players can acquire special abilities, build castles and win tournaments by rolling dice combinations better than those pictured on cards. Players also may capture cards from their opponents. A mix of luck and skill is required to win.
The suggested retail price for Knights, designed by Michael Schacht (Web of Power), is $9.95. The game is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2001.
The 2-6 player game is recommended for ages 8 and up, with an estimated playing time of 20-40 minutes.
