Based on trivia from over 60 popular sitcoms of the 1970s, '80s and early '90s, Flashback contains more than 3,200 questions of varying degrees of difficulty. Unlike most trivia games, Flashback offers choices of topic as well as level of difficulty on each turn. The game uses no dice and success is based on skill and strategy, not simply overall knowledge.GrayMatterPlayers take turns answering any of four questions from a card. Each question represents a different sitcom and level of difficulty. For instance, a card may contain a level one Gilligan's Island or Seinfeld -- designed to be answerable by anyone who may have only seen the show one time, and a level four Brady Bunch or Cheers -- designed for someone who knows the show inside and out.
Players hear the choice of sitcoms with corresponding levels, and then choose which level and show they feel most confident about. Points are awarded or subtracted based on level of difficulty.
Shows from Flashback's Sitcom Edition include Happy Days, The Brady Bunch, Welcome Back Kotter, Mork and Mindy, The Jeffersons, The Cosby Show, Three's Company, Facts of Life, Sanford and Son, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Diff'rent Strokes, All in the Family, M*A*S*H, Laverne and Shirley, Gilligan's Island, Good Times, and more.
