The following games were featured by Front Porch Classics (a company which publishes games under two imprints -- Old Century Classics and Circa Classics; the Old Century Classics games retail for significantly more than typical board games, but they are wooden and very well-made; they could very well get passed down through generations) at the 2003 American International Toy Fair in New York City:

Dread Pirate

Pirate battles, mutinies, desert islands and buried treasure. Dread Pirate is a slice of adventure gaming for the family. Dread Pirate comes packaged in a wooden treasure chest and is played on an illustrated and aged treasure map with cast metal playing pieces, replica doubloons, dice, treasure bags and pirate treasure.

Games of the World

When the great explorers returned from the far reaches of the globe, they brought back among their treasures the games of kings and chieftains, emporers and rajas. Steeped in culture and history, these pastimes influenced society and leisure activity around the world, and many are precursors to the board games we love today. Seven ancient games -- Go, Mancala, Dudo / Liar's Dice, Pachisi, Chaturanga / Indian Chess and two others -- are packaged in one tin.

Games of the World is scheduled to be available in fall 2003.

Old Century Baseball

Old Century Baseball is a well-constructed pinball game that serves as a tribute to the grand old ballparks of yesteryear. Players launch the pinball and swing the bat to hit singles, doubles, triples and home runs. Each batter's performance is recorded on actual baseball scorecards, while turning movable scoreboard knobs to keep track of the game score.

Pinball Golf

Swing down the fairways of the legendary courses as you relive the golden era of golf with this wooden pinball game. Make a birdie or score an elusive hole-in-one -- but watch out for sand traps and water hazards. Pinball Golf is crafted from aged wood with beautiful thematic graphics.

Seven-in-One

This is a collection of time-honored favorites in an elegant antique-finished wooden set. With Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Cribbage, Dominoes, Poker Dice and a deck of standard playing cards, Seven-in-One is a great way to play the classics.

Shut the Box

Played for centuries by sailors and fishermen in the pubs of England, Shut the Box challenges players to roll the dice and lay down any combination of tiles to match their roll. Keep rolling until you can't match the remaining tiles. If you lay down all the tiles you've "shut the box" and won.

Tornado Tops

This is a game of battling tops. The all-wood design features sturdy, interchangeable caps and bottoms, allowing contenders to customize their own fighting tornado. The tops skitter and collide; the last one spinning wins the game.

Tornado Tops are essentially a wooden form of the popular battling tops known as Beyblades.

Tornado Tops are scheduled to be available in fall 2003.
