El Grande, by Rio Grande Games, is without a doubt the best boardgame I've played in all of my 36 years. (And I've played a BUNCH!)
This game is virtually CHANCE-FREE (no dice), relying upon cunning, diplomacy, plan-hatching and political intrigue to keep players rivited. As usual, Rio Grande serves up an elegant game board, wooden playing pieces, and the highest quality of paper cards and accessories.
The action cards provide a seemingly limitless set of variables, and I can't imagine how any two games could be the same. Each game of El Grande is a "nail-biter" from start to finish!
