Settlers of Catan

Incredible replay value; durable pieces... great game.

The problem with Diplomacy is that you've never got enough time to play. On a desert island, you're trying to kill time! The other players would have to be pleasant enough to get along even after a game of Diplomacy, but part of the instructions for the exercise are to ignore any problems posed by the other players, so...

Even more replay value than Settlers, between different game formats, different arenas, different construction formats, and so forth.

I've never played this game because it takes so damned long. It's one I'd like to try, and time's no object here.

I know you told me no card games, but you can't make me go to a desert island without poker. Pthbbbbbbtt.
