Guide Review - Drake and Drake

Players begin with a hand of eight cards. The first goal of Drake and Drake is to have your pirates land on the island; the yellow landing cards allow this. The orange action cards permit a variety of other actions and become more important as the game progresses. To play cards, you must have a set of one of the following: four yellow, two yellow and one orange, or two orange cards.

The 6x6 board has 31 spaces which can be occupied. At the end of the game, you want to control spaces with treasure and rum; they're more valuable than empty spaces. Also important is occupying adjacent spaces. With Drake and Drake, you're in for more fun than a bottle of rum.
