Guide Review - Vampire Hunter

The main mechanism in the board game Vampire Hunter is the lighted tower that changes periodically from day to night or night to day. When that happens, many of the board squares and game tiles also change, possibly revealing traps or monsters. Hunters begin with garlic, but must find a sword and a stake before fighting Drakus (battles are resolved with a die roll). The player who wounds Drakus with the third weapon wins -- so it's possible for someone who falls behind to come back.

During the game, certain cards will move the vampire's ship closer to the castle; if it arrives before any of the hunters find Drakus, he wins and all the players lose. Vampire Hunter is a very light strategy game, good for children and adults to play together.
