I need to update my list of the best auction games to reflect this fact, but I truly believe that Ra is the best auction game ever published. Not everyone agrees, as you can read in Tom Vasel's Musings On... Ra. As I say in that article, "I think the random elements in Ra are more pronounced than in some of the other auction games, which I view as a good thing. There's more ability to take big chances -- and either succeed grandly or fail miserably." Ra, out of print for several years, was recently republished by Uberplay.
