Stuart R. Kaplan is the founder and chairman of U.S. Games Systems, the company which publishes the Mystery Rummy series, dozens of decks of standard playing cards, tarot cards, and more. Recently, his office was featured in The Wall Street Journal.

According to the Journal article, Kaplan's office is filled with "hundreds of antique cards and books on their origin," in addition to "a mahogany game compendium... probably crafted in Victorian England."

The U.S. Games Systems founder has been collecting antique card games for 35 years. He says, accurately, "There's tremendous history in playing cards."
