Beyblades: Metal Fusion in 2010

The Beyblade battling top phenomenon that swept the United States in 2002 and 2003 is returning with the introduction of Hasbro's Beyblade: Metal Fusion line, scheduled to be available in Canada in spring 2010 and in the United States in fall 2010. This line of Beyblades -- part of Hasbro's offerings at the 2010 American International Toy Fair -- features a new, metal gear system and the introduction of an online virtual battle component.

Each top in the Beyblade: Metal Fusion line will come with five interchangeable parts, ready to be built and rebuilt. For example, the Performance Tip determines how aggressive a top will be in battle, the Fusion Wheel determines the weight of the top, and the Spin Track determines movement patterns.
