Best Trick-Taking Card Games

Thursday July 2, 2009
A trick-taking card game is one in which players take turn playing cards and the highest card played each round wins the trick. Of course, there are many variations within the genre, and trick-taking card games are among the most popular and enduring. Here are my favorite trick-taking card games played with a traditional deck of cards.

What’s your favorite trick-taking card game? Post your thoughts in the comments section below.

How about adding the next 5 (6-10) favorite trick-taking card games?

My #1 favorite trick-taking card game is 500 (Bid). It is another very fun trick-taking game that my family has played for many years.

Maybe 500 (Bid) could be #6 on your extended list?
