Game-Related Photos from Life Archives

Google has posted a collection of millions of photographs from the archives of the magazine Life. Among them are dozens -- perhaps hundreds -- of game-related photos, including:
- A 1940 photo of men playing a card game in an English pub.
- A 1942 photo of a stud Poker game in Las Vegas.
- A 1945 photo of college girls playing cards in their dorm room.
- A 1949 photo of gangster Mickey Cohen playing cards at his home.
- A 1955 photo of monks playing Chess at St. Benedict's Abbey in Atchison, Kansas.
- A 1956 photo of crewmen on the U.S. sub "Nautilus" lifting the edges of their backgammon board to keep pieces from sliding off.
- A 1959 photo of actress Bette Davis and her husband Gary Merill playing Scrabble in the back seat of a car.
- A 1985 photo of Alfred Butts, designer of Scrabble, showing off a new game called Alfred's Other Game.

Pretty sure that first picture is Cribbage. There’s a turn-up card on the draw deck. Each player has 4 cards in hand, and one appears to have an additional 4 cards on the table in front of him, which would be the box. Then of course, there’s the cribbage board.
