Ticket to Ride: The Dice Game?

Sunday September 14, 2008
A dice game based on Ticket to Ride, the award-winning board game about building railroad routes (and my pick as the #1 game published in 2004), might be in the works. Images of dice with train tracks on them have appeared on the web site of game publisher Days of Wonder and in a Ticket to Ride photo album on Facebook titled "Something New."

The images on Facebook show two white dice and one black die. Only three sides of each die are visible. One of the white dice includes two sides with railroad tracks (one single track and one double track) and a blue city. The other white die includes the same two railroad track sides; the third side features a red train engine. On the black die, two sides are blank. The third side includes a single gold railroad track.

No further information appears to be posted either on the Days of Wonder web site or on Facebook. Ticket to Ride remains one of my favorite games, and I tend to enjoy dice games. So if this really is a TtR Dice Game, that's great news.
