Beowulf: The Movie Board Game

The Robert Zemeckis film Beowulf opens in wide release today, and fans of the movie can also look forward to the release of Beowulf: The Movie Board Game. Designed by Reiner Knizia and published by Fantasy Flight Games, Beowulf: The Movie Board Game is based on a previous Knizia design, Kingdoms. (Knizia is one of the most prolific and successful game designers in the world.) According to the rulebook, "[E]ach player strives to tell the most epic version of the Beowulf saga. To this end, each player takes control of Beowulf himself, guiding the hero and his companions to recount the chronicle in the most exciting way possible." It should be available soon.
