Carcassonne Coming to Xbox Live

Thursday May 10, 2007
The tile-laying game Carcassonne will be available on Xbox Live starting in June, according to game developer Sierra Online. Designed by Klaus-Jurgen Wrede, Carcassonne won the Spiel des Jahres, Germany's prestigious award for Family Game of the Year, in 2001. Carcassonne challenges 2 to 5 players (it's best with 2 to 4) to lay tiles and build roads, farms, cloisters and cities. Carcassonne for Xbox Live will feature multiplayer modes both offline and online, allowing players to compete against up to five players on Xbox Live and four players on a single Xbox 360.

The strategy board game Settlers of Catan is already available on Xbox Live. Here's a review from About.com's Xbox Games writer, Eric Qualls.
