Kill Doctor Lucky - New High-Quality Edition

Sunday October 15, 2006
An all-new edition of Kill Doctor Lucky, first published by Cheapass Games in 1996, is scheduled to be released by Titanic Games this week. In the game, players compete to be the one to end the life of the miserable old man known as Dr. Lucky. As everyone moves through the Lucky Mansion, they use a variety of weapons (everything from a silken cord to a revolver) while trying to take the guy down. Other players use "failure" cards to keep him alive long enough that they can take the credit for the final deed. This new version is a high-quality, full-color board game in the tradition of moden European games. It also introduces "spite tokens," which are awrded to players for making murder attempts and speed up gameplay. The Cheapass edition of Kill Doctor Lucky has sold more than 40,000 copies and won the 1997 Origins Award for Best Abstract Board Game. It's an entertaining, and genuinely twisted, game.
