Meeples Choice Award Winners

The annual Meeples Choice Awards, voted on by the members of the board and game discussion group Spielfrieks, have been announced for 2004: Ticket to Ride (#1 on my list of the best games of 2004), Power Grid (#6 on that same list) and Goa. Every game published in 2004 was eligible; a nomination round whittled the field down to 25 finalists. Nearly 140 individuals voted in the final round.

Two of this year's three winners, Ticket to Ride and Power Grid, were the final two games in this year's edition of Board Games Survivor Island here at About.com.
