Ticket to Ride Expansion: Mystery Train

Game publisher Days of Wonder recently announced a free, limited-edition expansion pack for their award-winning board game Ticket to Ride, one of the few games I've given a five-star rating to. The Mystery Train expansion will first be distributed at the Essen Toy Fair in Germany from October 21 to 24, and later in the U.S. in the November issue of Game Trade Magazine. On Nov. 15, it will be available for download from the Days of Wonder web site.

Mystery Train introduces 10 cards that bring variety to the gameplay through special bonuses and action cards. There are also some additional destination routes. Mystery Train was created by Ticket to Ride designer Alan R. Moon to celebrate the game being awarded this year's Spiel des Jahres (Germany's Family Game of the Year).
