Games Challenge Brain in Different Ways

"I watch my kids play [card games], and I feel they're challenging their brains in ways the school curriculum cannot." That's what one mother told the Marin (California) Independent Journal, and I think she's right. We know that some child development experts believe it, too, and that the U.S. military believes playing games from other cultures can help develop strategies for dealing with foreign powers. The evidence is overwhelming: playing games is good for you.
