Trump: the Game Returns to Stores
Although more recent negotiation games (particularly I'm the Boss and Chinatown) have surpassed Trump: the Game in terms of gameplay, it remains a game that deserves consideration.
In the game magazine Sumo, after the original game was released, reviewer Mike Siggins said that Trump is "a very good game, quick to play, well designed and fun." It currently has a 5.56 average rating (out of 10) on BoardGameGeek.com, which may sound low but several of those who rated it posted comments like, "great game that I think is underrated" and "it ... plays well as a family game."
According to an article in the July 20, 2004, issue of the Los Angeles Times, Trump told reporters in 1990 that Trump: the Game sold about 800,000 copies in its initial run, short of the 2 million copies hoped for by Milton Bradley.
