Monday May 10, 2004
Mensa, an organization open to those who scores in the top two percent on an intelligence test, has named the games which won its 2004 Mind Games competition, held last month in Chicago. The winners -- which can now be labeled as "Mensa Select" games -- are 10 Days in Africa (designers: Alan R. Moon and Aaron Weisblum; publisher: Out of the Box Publishing), Basari (Reinhard Staupe, Out of the Box Publishing), The Bridges of Shangri-La (Leo Colovini, Uberplay), Rumis (Stefan Kogl, Educational Insights), and Yinsh (Kris Burm, Rio Grande Games). The games were chosen after a 40-hour game-playing marathon held April 16-18. Wei-Hwa Huang was there and filed this report.
