Betrayal at House on the Hill - Game Preview

Avalon Hill's fourth announced game for 2004 is a completely new and unique haunted house-themed game, Betrayal at House on the Hill. A description of the game from Alliance Games (a distributor) reads like this: "Discover and defeat the traitor in your midst in this thrilling horror-themed tile game featuring 50 haunting scenarios." Betrayal at House on the Hill is for 3 to 6 players, ages 13 and up. Due out later this year (hopefully in time for Halloween!), it's very high on my list of anticipated releases. Avalon Hill's other planned 2004 releases are a revamped Axis and Allies, Axis and Allies D-Day, and Risk Godstorm.

Betrayal at House on the Hill is a tile game that allows players to build their own haunted house room by room, tile by tile, creating a new thrilling game board every time. The game is designed for three to six people, each of whom plays one of six possible characters.

Secretly, one of the characters betrays the rest of the party, and the innocent members of the party must defeat the traitor in their midst before it’s too late! Betrayal at House on the Hill will appeal to any game player who enjoys a fun, suspenseful, and strategic game.
