Nuremberg 2004 Toy Fair Preview

Saturday December 27, 2003
Two toy fairs in Germany dominate the gaming news from that country each year: Nuremberg in February and Essen in October. As the 2004 Nuremberg Toy Fair approaches, Rick Thornquist is doing a terrific job of previewing the event.

Many of the games unveiled at the Nuremberg Toy Fair will be published in English at the same time they're published in German, or very soon afterwards. Some of the games I'm most looking forward to trying are:

Adam and Eva, designed by Aaron Weissblum.

Crazy Derby, designed by Reiner Knizia (a rethemed version of Trendy).

FBI (known as Commissario in Germany), designed by Wolfgang Kramer and Horst-Rainer Rosner.

Oasis, designed by Alan R. Moon and Aaron Weissblum.

San Juan, the card game based on the board game Puerto Rico.

Spy, designed by Reiner Knizia.

Sunken City, designed by Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling.
