Sleuth and Rheinlander from Face2Face Games

Saturday September 27, 2003
Face2Face Games, which recently published I'm the Boss, has announced that it will publish new editions of Sleuth and Rheinlander.

Sleuth is a deduction game designed by Sid Sackson and is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2004. It's the third Sackson game to be announced by Face2Face, following I'm the Boss and Buy Word. Here's the description from the Face2Face Games web site:

"Sleuth is the fascinating detective game in which players call upon their powers of deduction and logic to discover the identity of the missing gem. Through strategic questioning, each player gathers his bits of information, then skillfully welds them together to form the clues which will provide the solution to the mystery.

"Clever question and skillful deductions, combined with some plain old-fashioned luck, will make Sleuth an absorbing game for 3 to 7 players. This classic Sackson design is being produced with all new artwork and will be available in the second quarter of 2004."

Rheinlander is a game designed by Reiner Knizia and is scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2004. This is the first Face2Face Games release to be designed by someone other than Sackson. Here's the description from the Face2Face Games web site:

"Face 2 Face Games is happy to announce an addition to our signature series of games. The Reiner Knizia Signature series which will premier with Rheinlander. We are proud to add this classic game to our line and you can look for it in the fourth quarter of 2004.

"Hundreds of years ago the heart of Europe was divided. Powerful dukes ruled their duchies from their castles on the banks of the Rhine, and earned a rich income from their wealthy cities. Struggles for power were everyday, and frequently the intervention of the more influential bishops was necessary. Now you have the chance to expand your rule over the Rhine country. Outwit your opponents to expand. Outwit your opponents, and gain more power. Who will become the new ruler over the Rhine?"
