New Survivor Party Game Available Soon

Saturday September 13, 2003
First displayed at Toy Fair 2003, an all-new Survivor game will be available soon. According to publisher Rumba Games, this game "brings the hit TV show from exotic locales around the world striaght into your living room."

The Rumba web site continues: "Just like in the show, players break into tribes and compete in hilarious and daring immunity challenges as they vie to outwit, outplay and outlast friends and family to become the ultimate survivor."

"We're giving our fans what they've been asking for, the chance to become a Survivor contestant," said Ken Ross, vice-president and general manger of CBS Consumer Products, in a recent press release. "Immunity Challenges, a host and Tribal Council jury, tribal alliances and a ballot box to vote opponents off -- all the elements are there."

The press release included this description of the game:

"Priced at $29.95, Survivor: The Game features over 250 immunity challenges designed for ages eight and up, ranging from water-balloon tosses and knot-tying contests to remembering old TV jingles and whistling tunes on a glass bottle. Players in the losing tribe risk getting voted off the couch."

CBS and Rumba Games plan to host a series of publicity events for the game in November, allowing fans to pit their wits in challenges from the game against rocket scientist Dave Johnson, a castaway from Survivor: Amazon.
