Martine Redman, who designs children's games for her own company, Briarpatch, was recently profiled in the New Jersey Star-Ledger.
According to the article, Redman has designed more than 75 toys and games and won more than 100 awards for her work. Briarpatch's games include the I Spy Memory Game, a series of Thomas the Tank Engine games, and Hello Kitty Best Friends.
Redman is quoted in the article saying that Briarpatch, a top-three company in terms of preschool games sold in the United States, will stick to non-computer games: "One thing a board game does for you that a computer game does not: You have to be face to face with the person you are playing."
